ASSET INTEGRITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (AIMS)

by admin

Asset integrity, or asset integrity management systems (AIMS) is the term for an asset’s capacity to run effectively and accurately, whilst also protecting the wellbeing of all personnel and equipment with which it interacts.
Prime-Top Inspection Ltd have well experienced with in-depth knowledge of AIMS which includes:

MECHANICAL INTEGRITY

of critical process equipment to ensure it is designed and installed correctly and that it is operated and maintained properly. MI is 1 of the 14 elements included in the OSHA Process Safety Management standard. MI includes equipment/assets such as pressure vessels, storage tanks, piping systems, and associated hardware (valves, fittings, etc.), relief devices, and emergency shutdown/control systems. MI encompasses the activities necessary to ensure that equipment/assets are designed, fabricated, installed, operated and maintained in a way that provides the desired performance in a safe, environmentally protected, and reliable fashion the goal or desired results of the Mechanical Integrity (MI) element of the PSM Standard is designed to prevent accidents through the proper maintenance of equipment.

RISER INSPECTIONS & REPAIRS

Prime-Top Inspection offers a unique location, high quality service, unmatched expertise and tremendous value for your marine riser needs.

Drilling in deep water presents a significant challenge. With an increase in drilling operations in harsh environments, drilling riser requirements and limits have become more onerous due to uncertNainties involved in response prediction and prolonged drilling programs.

Marine Risers require regular maintenance and inspection – essential for the safe operation of drilling activities offshore. Well controlled safety is of utmost importance and the marine risers are essentially the “life line” in ensuring well stability at the rig floor. In today’s deep water, the riser string can be thousands of metres long.

TUBULAR INSPECTION

Prime-Top inspection division provides a variety of Drill Pipe/OCTG Inspection Services depending on customers’/Manufactures recommendation and requirements. We have well qualified in house technical manpower that are capable/qualified for performing inspections ranging from BASIC/API standards to critical well service standards.

We do visual/dimensional inspection of Drill pipes/Casing/Tubing/BHA tools/HWDPS/Rig parts and Handling equipment’s in order to confirm acceptability.

We have full length EMI inspection pipe surface inspection units which are capable of detecting transverse and 3 dimensional flaws such as pits, seams and gouges.

Our certified Drill Pipe Inspection/Tubular Inspection Engineers shall conduct periodic inspection in regular interval of time based on past inspection/failure history and drilling condition.

PIPING INTEGRITY MANAGEMENT.

Prime-Top Inspection have an appropriate pipeline integrity management plan which is an integral part of measuring and maintaining pipeline integrity.

Pipeline integrity management (PIM) is a system used by pipeline owners and operators to ensure a pipeline’s safety from its conception to its retirement. Pipeline integrity management is used to address many aspects including health, safety, and environment (HSE), engineering, inspection, maintenance and other branches of pipeline labor. Pipeline integrity management (PIM) is becoming increasingly important as more and more regulations are placed on pipeline construction and operation.

A pipeline failure can have devastating effects on the environment and human life, which makes it very important for pipeline owners and operators to ensure their pipelines are safe.

CORROSION MONITORING

Corrosion is a major threat to the oil and gas, petrochemical and other process-intensive industries and is responsible for countless of dollars in damage and maintenance costs. Additionally, ageing equipment becomes more susceptible to corrosion and loses its ability to withstand harsh operating environments (e.g. high temperature and pressure). The purpose of a strong corrosion monitoring program is to improve safety, reduce maintenance and inspection costs, and maximize efficiency.

Corrosion Monitoring is a process that evaluates and monitors equipment components, structures, process units, and facilities for signs of corrosion. Monitoring programs aim to identify certain conditions in order to extend the life and serviceability of assets while increasing safety and reducing replacement costs. Corrosion monitoring covers all types of corrosion and materials.

The key advantage to implementing corrosion monitoring is to detect early warning signs of corrosion and to determine trends and processing parameters that may induce a corrosive environment. Processing parameters that may need to be altered include temperature, pressure, pH, etc. Additionally, corrosion monitoring serves to measure the effectiveness of corrosion prevention methods in order to determine if different inspection and/or monitoring techniques should be utilized.

ROPE ACCESS

ROPE ACCESS SERVICES

Rope access is swiftly becoming a preferred method of carrying out inspections, tests and maintenance in various industries across the globe. It allows safe and rapid access to remote locations for a wide range of inspection, testing and structural engineering functions. The versatility of rope access services permits flexible and comprehensive service on the inspection and structural maintenance programs. Since, rope systems are unobtrusive; it benefits clients who wish to retain the visual integrity of the structure.

Our dedicated and highly skilled personnel have accumulated a vast wealth of experience in this field and through this, and our professional approach, our clients can be assured that they will get the job done efficiently, safely & properly. Personnel employed in this field have undergone an approved training course to an internationally recognized standard by IRATA, the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association.
